INGREDIENTS:
1 cup quick oats
1 cup rolled oats
3 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
3 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
2 scoops chocolate whey protein
½ cup chopped almonds
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
½ cup chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
4 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon coconut oil
100 ml (about ⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) maple syrup
100 ml (about ⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) milk
Place all the dry ingredients except the chocolate in one large bowl, mix well, and set aside.
In another bowl, combine the peanut butter and coconut oil, then microwave on medium power for about 30 seconds to soften them.
Add the maple syrup and milk, and stir until the mixture comes together.
Combine with the dry ingredients, and once everything is well mixed, add the chocolate pieces (or chocolate chips). If the mixture is too dry, you can add a bit more milk.
Spread the mixture evenly into a baking pan lined with baking paper (this is purely to make it easier to remove from the pan).
Leave in the fridge for 15 minutes so the mixture firms up. Remove from the pan and cut into bars of your desired size.
